ARC Database
The ARC database was designed with two primary goals in mind. The first goal was to provide a Web-based database management system and application that will allow Consortium members to store research results related to materials, material properties, material measures and results of laboratory and field testing. The second goal is to make the data available to the general public via a searchable Web-based interface. It is expected that university researchers and students, along with industry professionals and public agencies, will benefit from this data. The system is being implemented using well-adopted technologies including Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft ASP.NET. The database and application are currently being hosted at the University of Nevada, Reno.”

Standard Method of Test for "Estimating Effect of RAP and RAS on Blended Binder Performance Grade without Binder Extraction." - Draft AASHTO
This test method covers the use of mortar and binder samples tested in the Bending Beam Rheometer and Dynamic Shear Rheometer to quantify the effect of RAP and RAS binder on the fresh binder continuous grade profile, allowing for an estimation of blended binder properties at critical pavement temperatures. The testing procedure produces a RAP/RAS binder-fresh binder continuous grade change rate, allowing for the estimation of mixture performance grade given any amount of RAP and RAS binder replacement within the mixture.

Standard Method of Test for "Determining Asphalt Binder Bond Strength by Means of the
Bitumen Bond Strength (BBS) Test." - Draft AASHTO
This test method quantifies the tensile force needed to remove a pullout stub adhered to a solid substrate with asphalt binder (bitumen). Samples are prepared at controlled environmental (i.e., temperature and humidity) and moisture conditions. After conditioning, a pneumatic load is applied to a pullout stub until failure using an ASTM D 4145 Type IV adhesion tester. The pullout tension at failure is used to describe the adhesive properties of the asphalt binder and compatibility between aggregates and asphalt binders.

Standard Method of Test for "Estimating Fatigue Resistance of Asphalt Binders Using the Linear Amplitude Sweep." - Draft AASHTO
This test method covers the indication of asphalt binders' resistance to fatigue damage by means of cyclic loading employing a linearly ramping amplitude sweep test. The amplitude sweep is conducted using the Dynamic Shear Rheometer at the continuous intermediate temperature performance grade (PG Grade) of the asphalt binder. The test method can be used with material aged using AASHTO T 240 (RTFOT) and/or AASHTO R 28 (PAV) to simulate the estimated aging for in-service asphalt pavements.

Standard Method of Test for "Yield Energy of Asphalt Binders Using the Dynamic Shear Rheometer." - Draft AASHTO
This test method covers the indication of asphalt binders' resistance yield-type failure under monotonic constant shear-rate loading. The Binder Yield Energy test (BYET) is conducted using the Dynamic Shear Rheometer at the intermediate temperature performance grade (PG Grade) of the asphalt binder. The test method can be used with material aged using AASHTO T 240 (RTFOT) and/or AASHTO R 28 (PAV) to simulate the estimated aging for in-service asphalt pavements.

Standard Method of Test for "Determination of Polymer Modifier in Asphalt." - Draft AASHTO
This method of test is used to determine the polymer content of an asphalt sample. This method is applicable to any asphalt binder or asphalt cement that can be dissolved in toluene.
